COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado Representative Gordon
Klingenschmitt accuses the Boy Scouts of opening the
organization to "untrustworthy men who have a fetish" for young
boys.

Klingenschmitt is upset that Boy Scouts of America president
Robert Gates recently called for an end to the organization's
ban on gay scout leaders. He demanded that the Scout
organization fire Gates because "he is leading that organization
into the path of destruction" by advocating a policy that will
lead to "more homosexual molestation of young boys."

On a recent "Pray In Jesus Name" program, Klingenschmitt blasted
Gates for wanting to implement "training in unrighteousness by
telling your young boys, future Eagle Scouts, future leaders of
our country, that sin is acceptable." He then went on to pray
"against the demonic spirit of lawlessness and immorality and
violation that would abuse young boys" that has taken hold of
the organization and which seeks to open the doors to
"untrustworthy men who have a fetish or an addiction and want to
impose their power upon young and innocent boys."

PIJN NEWS airs weekdays via satellite on the National Religious
Broadcasters network.

Klingenschmitt, a Republican state lawmaker from Colorado
Springs, lost a committee position in March as punishment for
remarks he made about a Colorado woman who is accused of cutting
an unborn child from her mother's womb, according to The Denver
Post.

Minority Leader Brian DelGrosso said he removed Klingenschmitt
from the Health, Insurance and Environment Committee because he
believed disciplinary action was necessary.

Klingenschmitt has called the attack on Michelle Wilkins "God's
curse on the country" for tolerating abortion. Critics called
those comments exploitative and Klingenschmitt later apologized.

Boy Scout comments begin at 10:14 :

I suppose you would have called him a liar if he lied.

And he's an Episcopalian priest. I am so embarrassed to have shared a
religion with this piece of demonic shit. At least I've discerned the
spirits, and that's what they told me. ;-)

I though Episcopalians were the sane Christians?

My point exactly. Though we are pretty accepting, and part of that
sometimes involves accepting some odd shit. Like Klingon-shit. And there
is a whole part of Anglicanism that is conservative, even to the point
of being called Anglo-Catholic, which is pretty much what you think it
is. Though conservative in the sense of fundy or right-wing is less
common than it is for many other churches. Our Republicanism is more
old-school upper crust educated Republican, not modern dumb-fuck 'Publican.

We had a couple-three bishops in a row in my diocese who were
Anglo-Catholics, and who urged other priests and bishops to leave the
church. They, however, didn't. If they had, they'd have lost their
pensions from the Episcopal church. It was one of the things that really
chapped my ass, though not something that made me consider leaving the
church. I figured if I waited long enough, they'd leave it first, either
by dying or retiring or by finally getting the balls to do make the
sacrifice they'd encouraged others to make and just quit.

I have been in a number of discussions with very conservative and even
fundy Episcopalians, and even with them, I had productive discussions. I
never once was told I was a heretic or would burn in hell for my ideas.
That's not the way we do things; it's far to, well, too Baptist and
demonstrative for we proper Anglicans!

The closest any of them got to doing something...Baptist was in a
discussion of WWII in Europe when I said that the Soviet Union made the
largest contribution to defeating the Nazis, and probably won the war
for the Allies. The lady I was talking to pulled the collar of my shirt,
looked down my shirt, and said she had to check to see if I was really
Red! But she later apologized and said I'd been right. You see, she did
what we Anglicans do: she looked shit up. Maybe this helps explain why
my deconversion was not a matter of urgency for me, and why I have no
horror stories of religion fucking me up.

When you're a kid you don't ask yourself why the hell a grown man would want
to spend so much time around boys...
